Totem Animal: Symbolic representation of behavior that shapes lifetimes based on activity.
Life Task: Main reason or agenda for the particular lifetime
Soul Age: How your perceptions grow through distinct paradigms attributed to the natural evolution of spirit - infant to old & beyond.
Role of Essence: The direct expression of spirit force as a role player that determines the way it animates. Primal beingness or activated person.
Four Truths:
  • True Work- What activity do you require to find meaning, growth, and nourishment
  • True Play- What do you require to get the most enjoyment and pleasure from life
  • True Expression - What will help the most in expressing your true nature
  • True Study - What topics or interests are most relevant to learn regarding your life task or motivation for existence

Overleaves: The means and methods used to shape a lifetime by generating a colorful array of behaviors to express the Role of Essence as a personality. They all belong to a template explored in the Sun Moon teachings. See the Manifestations of Seven and the Law of Three.

  • Goal - The way the person pursues the life task
  • Mode - The way it achieves the goal
  • Attitude - The way the personality expresses itself and forms a viewpoint.
  • Feature - The primary force that directs attention to self-interest and is rooted in fear.
  • Frequency - The rate measured from 1-100 which indicates how you process experiences for lessons & conditioning; Low = slow, steady, thorough (Quality) | High = fast, repetitive, and plentiful (Quantity)
  • Ratio - Active/Passive or Focused/Creative energy ratio. More active personalities exhibit the masculine traits of goal achievement, calculated decisions, and linear thinking. Passive personalities have the feminine characteristics of reflection, creativity, and openness.

Roles of Essence
The RoE describes seven ways a spirit forms "personality" through a way of being. The roles characterize people by giving them distinctions in how they operate and make decisions.

Ordinal roles find fulfillment in more intimate relations with others
Cardinal roles seek to influence and interact with many beings

  • Inspiration roles are guided by callings to aid and personal convictions. Their thoughts are geared towards helping others in a broad sense. They evolve their capacity to be of service to others. Most importantly, they form special bonds with others that can't be recreated by anyone.
  • Expression roles exert their energies towards creating the biggest to the smallest of things, amusing others, and generating a plethora of alternative means of expressing oneself. All of which makes these roles prone to seek novelity, fun, and random forms of animating the self to do things you never thought possible (This is a little exaggerative, but it's the norm for them).
  • Action roles serve their own interests to administer and contain lifefoms to the structure of reality. They form the law, the government, the tax code, and all activity relating to achievement. They seek benefits from actively participating in events, duties, and goals. To them, existence is about actively trying to do, become, and/or fulfill something.
  • The Neutral role serves to provide study and feedback to evaluate, categorize, and de-mystify reality.
  • The Server
    Servers aim to help people with their basic needs and requirements. These beings always want to help others survive, be comfortable, and find security/peace through care and consideration. The younger soul ones optimize their lives for friendships and family, while older souls prioritize fulfilling causes and means of service.

    These souls radiate warmth by fostering connections and making others feel valued, blending strong social skills with a genuine desire to uplift lives. Younger soul priests often adopt roles of authority or conviction symbolically, leading through example and influence rather than formal power. Older soul priests, however, seek impact through writing, discussions, and innovative ways of supporting others.

    These souls devote their time and attention to innovation, ideas, and things of all types. They are the ones responsible for creating theater, arts, fashion, style, architecture, poems, and all the inventions and products you have around. Younger souls investigate, imitate, and strive for perfection; the older ones become stranger while getting better at forming personalities and creations.

  • The Sage
    Sages are your entertainers, solicitors, and salesmen. They can share stories and fun jokes to make you laugh, but not because they like you in particular, but they just can't help themselves to an opportunity to be themself. Many may project big egos but don't care about beating you; they just want to play with you. Young ones become great teachers by gifting you a vocabulary to understand. Older ones are prone to be more sophisticated at doing the same thing. They all love sharing and becoming informed.
